1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using RaccoonType, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Service
RaccoonType is a free typing performance platform. We provide:
- A free typing test with multiple modes
- Real-time multiplayer party races (2–8 players)
- Ranked ELO matchmaking with 1v1 duels
- An 8-category AI Typing Coach with custom drill generation
- Code-typing practice in 14 programming languages
- Daily global challenges, boss trials, tournaments, and seasonal clan wars
- Leaderboards, statistics, and progress tracking
3. Accounts
You may use RaccoonType as a guest without an account. Signing in is optional. If you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Keeping your credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information at sign-up
You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deletion is permanent and removes all associated data.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use bots, scripts, macros, or other automated means to take tests or win races
- Impersonate other users or create accounts for purposes of deception
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users in races, clans, tournaments, or chat
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others
- Circumvent rate limits or other technical safeguards
- Scrape the service for data without our written consent
5. Leaderboard integrity
RaccoonType’s leaderboard and ranked ELO system exist to measure human typing performance. We reserve the right to:
- Review suspicious test results
- Invalidate results that appear automated or non-human
- Ban accounts that violate the acceptable-use policy
6. Content
You retain ownership of any text or content you submit to RaccoonType (such as custom AI drill topics). You grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content to provide the service to you.
You agree not to submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or harmful.
7. Intellectual property
RaccoonType, its logo, and the platform design are our intellectual property. Sound packs included with RaccoonType are licensed for in-app use only — see the Audio Credits page for attribution.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate. Typing performance metrics are informational and not medical or professional advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RaccoonType is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance of the new terms.
